ISH appoints former Carlsberg marketing director

Non-alcoholic brand ISH has announced the appointment of former Carlsberg global marketing director Stephanie Illgner.

Despite the age difference between the two companies (ISH has been around for five years, compared to Carlsberg’s 176), they share a common founding country, Denmark, and ISH’s Copenhagen office is one of Carlsberg’s old factories.

Illgner began her career in 1993 as a brand manager at Frankfurt-based Ferrero, and has since held leading roles at Tchibo, Coca-Cola, Ferrero Scandinavia and Royal Unibew prior to her move to Carlsberg where she spent four years.

Discussing her appointment, Illgner commented: "ISH speaks to some very current megatrends about moderation, well-being and of course taste, and that made me really excited about the idea of switching, even though it's a much smaller brand. I’m very impressed by what the team has accomplished in such a short lifespan, and I look forward to building on top of that as we grow the brand internationally.”

ISH CEO Peter Bruun added: "We are still a small business so we have to punch above our weight, and Stephanie can help us do exactly that. The most important thing for us right now is to scale our team with highly skilled individuals who have navigated the beverage space and with relatively few resources can help position ISH as one of the leading players on the alcohol-free stage.”
