Paper leak: JDA told not to raze building
Jaipur: Jaipur Development Authority Tribunal on Thursday directed the civic body to not take any action on a building constructed illegally by an accused in the RPSC paper leak case till Friday, when the matter will be heard again.
The tribunal’s direction came during a hearing of petitions filed by the wife of senior teachers’ examination paper leak case accused Bhupendra Saran and his brother’s wife, who had sought relief from demolition of illegal constructions. Meanwhile Rajasthan High Court dismissed a petition filed by Saran’s brother.
On Tuesday, JDA had issued a notice over illegal constructions found at the Sarans’ property and had sought a response from them by 5pm on Thursday.
JDA chief controller (enforcement) Raghuveer Saini said, “The tribunal heard the petitions and the legal side accurately placed by DDA’s advocate. The tribunal heard that illegal construction was done by the petitioners against the lease deed and approved site plan. The tribunal will continue hearing the matter on Friday, after which action will be taken depending on the judgment. Till then, the tribunal has asked JDA not to take any action.”
During an inspection of Saran’s house on Tuesday, JDA had found a four-storey residential building constructed by taking out balconies of about 2'.6''-2'.6'' on the road’s boundaries at the back. JDA also declared the two-storey construction above the payable eight-meter height in the said building as illegal as it was made without approval.
A JDA team had also visited the house of Suresh Dhaka, the second main accused.
