‘Youths’ role key to nation-building’

Hubballi: The role of youths is important in building the country, and they must be proud of the past and think for future, said Anurag Singh Thakur, minister of sports, youth affairs, and I&B. Thakur said youths should give importance to their duties. “Backed by PM Narendra Modi, Fit India, Khelo India, Jeeto India and other initiatives helped our youth showcase talent. Thanks to the PM, more than 27,000 students have been brought back safely from Ukraine,” he said. Union minister Pralhad Joshi said because of PM Modi, Hubballi-Dharwad got IIT, III-T and other facilities along with roads, railway and air connectivity. Mayor Iresh Anchtageri, who did not welcome the PM at the airport, directly attended the function at Railway sports ground. “My name was not in the list of those who were to welcome PM Modi. My name may have been left out due to negligence by officials,” he said.
