Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks down as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed higher in the Friday's session.

Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 2.33%), Aries Agro(up 2.28%), Rama Phosphates(up 1.29%), & Fertilizers(up 0.81%), KRISHANA(up 0.76%), Sikko Industries(up 0.15%) and ZUARIAGRO(up 0.10%) stood among the top gainers.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 5.04%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 3.57%), Bohra Industries(down 3.31%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 1.94%), & Fertilizers(down 1.80%), Madras Fertlizers(down 1.22%), Coromandel International(down 1.01%), Fertilizers (down 0.66%), National Fertilizer(down 0.42%) and & Fertilizers(down 0.24%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 98.4 points up at 17956.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 303.15 points at 60261.18.

IndusInd Bank(up 2.09%), Adani Enterprises(up 2.03%), Tata Steel(up 1.99%), Eicher Motors(up 1.89%), Infosys(up 1.56%), ICICI Bank(up 1.49%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.46%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.4%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.35%) and UltraTech Cement(up 1.34%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Titan Company Ltd(down 1.2%), Enterprises(down 0.56%), Nestle India(down 0.45%), ITC(down 0.33%), Larsen & Toubro(down 0.29%), Asian Paints(down 0.23%), SBI Life(down 0.21%), Tata Motors(down 0.18%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(down 0.18%) and Reliance Industries(down 0.16%) closed in the red.
