BSF Raj Frontier nabs 50 intruders in 2022

Jaipur: The BSF Rajasthan Frontier apprehended 50 intruders including 10 Pakistanis and two Bangladeshi nationals attempting to enter Pakistan in 2022, officials said on Wednesday.
Officials also said two Pakistani intruders were killed while trying to infiltrate into India and did not pay heed to the caution given by the BSF sentry.
A statement issued by BSF mentioned that a large quantity of contraband were also seized during the year which included 31.5kg heroin, 26kg poppy husk, 1.2kg opium milk and 28,000 tramadol tablets.
Last year, home minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of Tanot Mata temple complex project at BSF Adm Base Tanot, Jaisalmer, for developing border tourism. Officials said DG BSF Pankaj Kumar Singh inaugurated BSF Sam Theme Park in Jaisalmer where people visit to get exposure to activities of BSF.
In sports, Rajasthan frontier organised the Inter-Command Aquatic competition -2022 and Inter-Frontier Basketball competition-2022. The hockey team of Rajasthan frontier secured second position in Inter-Frontier Hockey and third position in basketball competitions. The 51st Inter-Frontier Support Weapons Shooting Competition-2022 was organised at KFFR, Jaisalmer, in which team of 11 Frontiers participated and exhibited their firing skills.
