Topping the list is Japan, a Japanese passport holder can travel to as many as 193 countries without a visa. Sharing the second spot are South Korea and Singapore where passport holders of these countries don't need visas to travel to 192 countries. Germany and Spain are next on the ranking followed by other European countries. The Henley Passport Index ranks every country's passport on the basis of the number of countries passport holders can enter without visas. On the basis of the data given by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the index includes 199 passports and 227 travel destinations. The index gives visa-free scores which refer to the number of destinations a respective country's passport holder can access without any visa. India has climbed to 85th rank this year, and Indians can travel to 59 countries visa free. India ranked 90th in 2021. Last year, India was at 87th spot.
