Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) will set up India’s first group captive solar plant for a residential society in Mumbai. It will exclusively generate solar power for the housing society located at Mahalaxmi, a senior official from Tata Power said on Wednesday. “We will be generating 3 MW solar power at a plant which will be situated at Himayatnagar in Nanded, Maharashtra and this will be wheeled to Mumbai to cater exclusively for this housing society,” he said, adding that the first-of-its-kind project in city will result in savings for consumers of 40% in electricity bills (cheaper than grid) for 65% solar power supplied to meet requirement of the society. Bombay HC quashes Johnson & Johnson baby powder manufacturing ban over FDA test delay
