Clearing about the situation in the Northeast after several interstate disputes made it to the headlines in the past couple of months, Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pande on January 12 in Delhi assured of peace and said that peace has returned in most of the states in Northeast India. Extolling economic activities and the development initiatives in the region, the Army Chief also stressed on the good results of the same. “In the Northeast, peace has returned to most of the states. The economic activities and the development initiatives have yielded good results. This Army Day is special as it is also the 75th year of Independence,” the Army Chief said.
