‘Stop dumping rubbish in Sidhwan canal’

Ludhiana: At a time when the Municipal Corporation (MC) is cleaning the Sidhwan canal, a number of residents were still caught dumping waste in the canal by civic body officials led by zonal commissioner Jasdev Sekhon on Wednesday.
Issuing a warning to the violators, the officials appealed to the public to stop dumping waste in the canal, otherwise strict action will be taken against the violators. The civic body officials also organised an awareness drive at the site to stop residents from dumping waste in the canal. Sekhon also stated that the authorities are working to clean the canal, but it cannot be done without the support of locals. TNN
