SI, 2 constables suspended after bribe clip

Noida: A police outpost in-charge and two constables have been suspended on charges of corruption, Noida police said on Wednesday.
The three cops have been identified as Jhandupura police post in-charge Sanjay Punia and constables — Amit Kumar and Arvind Kumar.
“Recently, a complaint of bribery against the two constables was e-mailed to the Noida police commissioner, along with a video clip of the alleged act,” additional DCP (Noida) Ashutosh Dwivedi said.
Following the complaint, a probe was initiated. “And prima facie, the allegation was found to be true, and the two constables and the Jhandupura police post in-charge were suspended by the commissioner,” the additional DCP said.
Police sources told TOI that in the video clip shared with the commissioner, the two accused can be seen taking a bribe from a person inside a car parked at a public place in the Jhandupura area.
“Further inquiry and legal proceedings in the case are underway,” the additional DCP said.
