NEW DELHI: The CBI is planning to approach the Supreme Court to appeal against the Bombay high court’s order terming the arrests of former ICICI bank CEO
Chanda Kochhar and her husband Deepak Kochhar “illegal” and their subsequent release in a loan fraud case, sources privy to the developments said.
The CBI, sources said, fears that the Kochhars might tamper with the evidence upon their release and are likely to take this up with the apex court. Its legal/prosecution team is currently studying the HC order.
