Locals block road over ‘animal’ attack

Daltonganj: Villagers on Monday blocked a road at Kechki under Barwadeeh police station limits in Latehar district, demanding financial relief for a daily wager, who was allegedly injured by a wild animal in Palamu Tiger Reserve area in the morning.
Injured Rajdeo Singh is a resident of Lali Mati tola in Saraideeh village. The blockade was lifted after the intervention of Barwadeeh police and PTR personnel.
Deputy director of PTR (North) Kumar Ashish said, “The injuries do not appear to be of any animal bite. It’s not a leopard.” TNN
