
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 160.69 points up at 60276.17 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Mangalam Seeds(down 9.74 per cent), Pacific Ind(down 8.78 per cent), Saumya Consultants(down 6.39 per cent), Ladderup Fin(down 6.24 per cent) and Link Pharma(down 6.03 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 33 stocks traded in the green, while 17 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 39.9 points up at 17954.05.
On the BSE, Coastal Corp(PP), , Aveer Foods Ltd., and GKP Printing & Pack hit their fresh 52-week lows, while , , Ltd., Generic Engg and touched their fresh 52-week highs.
