KV Vijayendra Prasad, father of SS Rajamouli is hugely proud of the Golden Globe Award that Rajamouli’s 'RRR' has received for the song 'Naatu Naatu'. He is especially proud of MM Keeravani who has composed the song.
Says Vijayendra Prasad, ''The Golden Globe makes me proud on three levels. Firstly, I am proud as an Indian that our film and song have got us such global recognition. Secondly I feel happy as a family since Rajamouli is my son and Keeravani is my nephew. And thirdly I feel proud as a part of the RRR team. I think we are blessed by divinity. There are so many other equally deserving songs and films. But they don’t get the same recognition. I am always proud of my son and nephew. But this time I am a little prouder than usual.''

Vijayendra himself couldn’t attend the Golden Globe Awards ceremony. ''But that’s not important. What is now important is that we make more films that get us global recognition. If you ask me why so few Indian films get recognized globally I’d have no answer. Someone like you can answer that question better than me.''

'RRR' was recently released in Japan amid huge expectations. The film unit expressed happiness as the film got tremendous response in Japan as well. Directed by SS Rajamouli, this movie stars Ram Charan and Jr. NTR in lead roles. Composed by noted music director MM Keeravani, Naatu Naatu song is sung by Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj.
