BJP fields Arun Pathak for MLC polls from Graduates’ seat

Kanpur: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) once again relied on Arun Pathak and fielded him as its candidate for the MLC election from the Graduates constituency. Arun Pathak filed his nomination papers before the returning officer on Tuesday. Besides, two more nominations were filed by Hemraj Singh and Om Prakash as independent candidates for the Teachers’ constituency. The last date for filing nomination papers is January 12. Quite a good number of nominations are expected in the last two days. Seven aspirants purchased forms on Tuesday. For the Teachers constituency Venuranjan Bhadauria purchased four sets of forms while Jaya Sachan two sets for the Graduates’ constituency. tnn
