Hubballi: A Kuwaiti hospital has sought Karnataka Skill Development Corporation’s (KSDC) help to appoint about 300 doctors.
Specialists in various medical disciplines are required at the hospital. The corporation will help young and experienced doctors with immigration, insurance and other issues.
KS Avinash, the general manager, IMCK (overseas recruitment) at KSDC, said that the International Migration Centre-Karnataka (IMC-K) is an initiative of the department of skill development, entrepreneurship and livelihood (SDEL). “The IMC-K framework is envisaged to create sustained overseas employment pathways for the people of Karnataka and make international migration safe, orderly, humane, efficient and position Karnataka as the preferred state of origin for skilled and qualified manpower for overseas employment,” he said.
He said: “The North West General Trading and Contracting Company in Kuwait came to know about KSDC through eMigrate. Now, the KSDC has collaborated with the company that provides recruitment to Health Assurance Hospitals (DHAMAN) in Kuwait. There is need of 294 doctors for anesthesia, general surgery, cardiology, internal medicine, gynecology, ENT, and others.”
He said KSDC provides documentation process, visa stamping, police clearance certificate, emigration clearance, assistance in mandatory medical tests, counseling on soft skills and language training assistance.
He added that the workers get Pravasi Bharatiya Bima Yojana mandatory insurance, coordination with Indian Missions/Posts and union government, provides country-specific pre-departure orientation sessions only by certified master trainers by the MEA, return and repatriation welfare too.
