Four from Surat among country’s Top 50

Surat: Altogether 1,591 students appeared in CA finals from the Diamond City, of whom 482 cleared the exams. Of the 622 students who appeared in both groups of CA finals, 135 cleared both the groups. While 69 cleared the CA final first group, 45 cleared the CA final second group.
Four students secured ranks among the top 50 CA final examinees. Among the All India Rank (AIR), Aakash Bothra is placed 27, Nancy Jain 31, Anuj Mohta 35 and Parth Doshi at 47, said the Surat branch of western India regional council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
“The audit paper was a little difficult for me and I took breaks during study that helped me focus better,” said Bothra, who had secured AIR 25 in CA foundation and AIR 12 in CA Intermediate exams. The son of a textile businessman now wishes to work for a company to gain experience.
Ravi Chhavchharia, a tutor for the CA exam told TOI, “Overall, the results of the CA exam have improved compared to past years. More students have cleared the exam this year in the country.”
“Results of the city have been good and every year around 300 students from Surat clear the exams. The students have better learning infrastructure in the city,” said Nikesh Kothari, chairman, Surat Branch of WIRC ICAI.
