Hollywood giants from Steven Spielberg to James Cameron flocked back to the Golden Globes on Tuesday, as the controversial awards show got under way with a star-packed gala despite its scandals.

Comedian Jerrod Carmichael, hosting proceedings, kicked things off with a monologue poking fun at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the event organizers who were condemned for having no Black members until recently.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday congratulated the cast and crew of "RRR" for winning the best song award at the Golden Globes for its hit track "Naatu Naatu".

"Congratulations to the whole cast and crew of RRR on this fantastic achievement. There can not be a prouder moment for our country than our art getting recognition in the highest global arenas," he said in a tweet.

Rajamouli after 'Naatu Naatu' Golden Globe win: Music knows no boundaries

Director SS Rajamouli is "speechless" after "Naatu Naatu", the foot-tapping Telugu track from his superhit movie "RRR", won the Golden Globe Award for the best original song-motion picture.

"SPEECHLESS. Music truly knows no boundaries," the filmmaker wrote.

"There will be no third World War, it is not a trilogy," Zelenskyy at Golden Globes speech

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday appeared virtually at the annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony to say that "there will be no third World War" as the tide is changing in Ukraine's ongoing conflict with Russia.

At Hollywood's 80th Golden Globe Awards, which was telecast live, Zelenskyy said "The first World War claimed millions of lives. The second World War claimed tens of millions of them. There will be no third World War, it is not a trilogy."

The song's music composer MM Keeravaani, who accepted the trophy on behalf of the team, got emotional on stage during his speech.

He said, "Thank you very much HFPA for this prestigious award, the Golden Globe. I am very much overwhelmed by this great moment happening and I am very happy to share this excitement with my wife. It's been an age-old practice to say that this award belongs to someone else, not me. So, I was planning to not say those words when I get an award like this. But I am sorry to say that I am going to repeat that tradition because I mean my words."

Reacting to the win, megastar Chiranjeevi took to Twitter and wrote,"What a Phenomenal, Historic Achievement !!!! Golden Globes Best Original Song - Motion Picture Award to @mmkeeravaanigaru !! Take a Bow! Heartiest Congratulations Team @RRRMovie & @ssrajamouli!! India is proud of you."

Music composer AR Rahman also congratulated the RRR team.

"Incredible ..Paradigm shift Congrats Keeravani Garu from all Indians and your fans! Congrats@ssrajamouli Garu and the whole RRR team," Rahman tweeted.

Actress Alia Bhatt, who played a pivotal role in RRR, reacted to the big news with a string of red heart emojis.

SS Rajamouli's "RRR" lost out the Golden Globe award for the 'best picture-non English' to Argentina's historical drama "Argentina, 1985".

It was a bittersweet moment for the team of "RRR" as minutes earlier the movie's hit track "Naatu Naatu" won the award for the best original song–motion picture.

"Argentina, 1985", directed by Santiago Mitre, is based on real events and follows the events surrounding the 1985 Trial of the Juntas, which prosecuted the ringleaders of Argentina's last civil-military dictatorship.
