LUDHIANA: There is still no end to peril of music master cadre teachers with the wait for their appointment letters prolonging despite the CM having handed over job letters to 3910 of them. The education department had issued an advertisement to fill 4,161 posts of master cadre teachers. Applications were sought for filling 25 posts of music teachers under Master Cadre. The written exam was held on August 21 onwards subject wise and the one for the 25 posts of music was held on September 18.
The scrutiny of the candidates who passed this examination has been conducted however they have not been assigned appointments yet. The appointments for the candidates of other subjects like Punjabi, Social Education, Hindi, Accounts, and Science have commenced from January 5 and 3910 master cadre teachers have been given appointment letters.
Harjinder Singh, leader of the Music Teachers Union said, Fates of music candidates have been hung unnecessarily even they have cleared the qualification round. There is no edn to their hardships.
