Minor detained for stealing two-wheelers

Panaji: The Mapusa police have detained a minor boy from Bardez taluka for stealing different two-wheelers, altogether worth around Rs three lakh.
On Sunday, Revora resident Dattaram Mandrekar, 30, had lodged a complaint that on January 6, some unknown person had stolen his scooter worth Rs 50,000 from Dangui Colony, Mapusa.
During the course of investigation, staff of Mapusa police station received information through its sources that the 17-year-old boy is involved in the case. The minor has been admitted to Apna Ghar, Merces.
Two scooters and two motorcycles have been seized by the police. A team, lead by PI Paresh Naik, is carrying out further investigations.
