All women irrespective of caste should be empowered: Congress on hijab issue

Reacting to the PUCL report about the revelation in the monsoon session of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly that a total of 1,010 hijab-wearing girls dropped out of PU colleges because of the hijab ban, Congress leader DK Shivakumar said, "our stand on personal intertest in very clear, but women and their parents should prioritize education. First look at your future, court will decide what it has to. Education of women shouldn't suffer."
