2 Koppal jatra devotees die in accident

Gadag: Two devotees returning after attending the Koppal Gavisiddeshwar Jatra died and two were injured in a road crash near Halligudi in Gadag district on Sunday night.
Mundaragi police, who have registered a case, said a collision occurred between two bikes and then its riders were run over by a truck. “The deceased are Allasab Nadaf, 50, Ramzan Begum, 18, who are from Tambralli village in Hagari Bommanahalli taluk. They were returning to their relatives’ house in Lakkundi after the jatra in Koppal. The other two bikers, Shivakumar Hiremath and Lalita Siddappa Hanchinal, are admitted to GIMS Hospital in Gadag,” a police source said.
