The 80th edition of the Golden Globe Award will take place on January 11th in Beverly Hills, California. Over the last few years, Indian Films have made their impact and bagged nominations for this prestigious award. And this time, names from southern industry seem to be making big. Filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, along with actors N.T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan will be gracing the night with their presence as their film 'RRR' has gained five nominations this year. Earlier, in 1957 film 'Do Ankhen Barah' Haath' made history when it became the first film to get nominated for a Golden Globe. At the 1983 Golden Globes, the film 'Gandhi' not just bagged nominations but also won 5 awards at the Golden Globes. Another proud moment for India came in 2009 when singer-music director A R Rahman became the first Indian to win a Golden Globe for the film 'Slumdog Millionaire.'
