Vasco police arrest 20-yr-old for bike thefts

Vasco: Mormugao police on Monday arrested Vinayak Vasant Rane, 20, a resident of Alto-Desterro for his alleged involvement in various two-wheeler theft cases reported in Mormugao.
Finding Rane’s behaviour fishy, police constables Purshottam Naik and Purshottam Talavanekar intercepted him and brought him to the police station for investigation.
“During questioning, the accused confessed to his involvement in the thefts. One scooter and one motorcycle were also recovered from his possession,” said Mormugao PI Raghoba Kamat.
