Pravasi Bharatiya Divas: Cost of Chandrayan lesser than a Hollywood film, says Nirmala Sitharaman

The Union Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman attended the fifth plenary of 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) 2023 on January 10. She spoke upon how low cost and affordable technologies emerge from India.She said, “The cost of the Chandrayan which goes to the moon, is far lesser than a Hollywood film. We are producing goods, innovative goods, frontier technologies goods at a cost which is far lesser than producing a film or even a good holiday for the entire football team abroad.”She also talked about harnessing the potential of entrepreneurs towards an inclusive approach to nation-building.
