Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Monday at 09:59AM

KIOCL(up 2.59%), Ashapura Minechem(up 2.38%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(up 2.05%), 20 Microns(up 1.89%), NMDC Ltd(up 1.52%), MOIL(up 1.48%), Orissa Minerals Development Company(up 1.46%), Dvpt Corporation(up 0.97%), Coal India(up 0.86%) and Pokarna(up 0.32%) were among the top gainers.

Aro Granite Industries(down 0.10%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 179.15 points up at 18038.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 597.71 points at 60498.08 at around 09:59AM.

Tech Mahindra(up 3.09%), Tata Consultancy(up 2.57%), HCL Technologies(up 2.56%), Tata Motors(up 2.29%), Bharti Airtel(up 2.25%), Wipro(up 2.11%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.93%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.87%), JSW Steel(up 1.76%) and Tata Steel(up 1.73%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Titan Company Ltd(down 2.04%) and Eicher Motors(down 0.26%) were trading in the red.
