Jaipur: A 20-year-old man was shot dead whose body was found at Mahadev Ka Aadda village in Dholpur on Saturday. He was also beaten by the assailants before being killed. Police said that a rival group with whom they had a dispute could be behind the murder.
According to police, the man has sustained bullet injury on his head and his body was found in the field late on Saturday evening. Police said that the family of the deceased had some dispute with another family in the village and thus the family preferred to leave their native village and started living in Dholpur. “The deceased, identified as Sugreev Singh, was living in Dholpur and was a student of Class XII. His relatives suspected that some people in their native village could be behind his murder,” said a police officer of Sadar police station.
Police said that Singh got a phone call and he was asked to come to a place near Dholpur and since then he was missing. “His body with multiple injuries and bullet injury on his head was found on Saturday evening. It is a clear case of murder and we have lodged a case which the family of the deceased have given a named FIR,” the officer added. Police said that they have so far raided a few places but the accused behind the murder are on the run. “Our teams are working to make arrests. Those behind the murder would be arrested soon,” the officer added.
