JAIPUR: A 16-year-old girl who was waiting for a bus to go to her school for extra class was kidnapped by three youths and later gangraped at a village under Manpur police station area of Dausa. Three days after the incident, the family on Saturday lodged a case of kidnapping and gangrape against three persons in this case.
According to the police, the girl’s family has stated in the FIR that the girl was standing at a bus stand near her village on January 3 at 7am when three youths came and asked to drop her. “Later, these youths kidnapped her and took her to an isolated location outside the village under Manpur police station area and gangraped her. The girl arrived late at home but she did not tell her family anything,” said a senior police officer of Manpur police station.
Later, seeing her upset, her mother asked the reason. “The girl narrated her plight and shared what happened on January 3. The family decided to lodge an FIR on Saturday evening. Also, the girl stated that she didn’t know the names of the accused but she can identify them,” the officer added.
Police said that they were trying to get the CCTV footage of the nearby area to get some clues. “The three youths were on a bike but the girl doesn’t remember the registration number of the vehicle. We were trying our level best to make arrests,” the officer said.
