LUCKNOW: Showcasing Lord
Krishna's philosophy, as many as 15 paintings by veteran city-based artist Mohammad Shakil were put on display as part of a month-long exhibition 'Rangmaya Chhand: Cubist Expressions' at an art gallery of a private hotel in the city on Sunday.
Curated by Dr Vandana Sehgal, architect and principal of College of Architecture of Lucknow University, the paintings are made in oil colours on canvas. The paintings include human figures made in a contemporary form with the use of geometric shapes in hues of yellow and orange.
The exhibition was inaugurated by additional chief secretary, sports, Navneet Sehgal.
