Make special arrangements for heart patients: UP deputy CM Brajesh Pathak

LUCKNOW: UP deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak on Monday directed healthcare officials to make concrete arrangements for treatment of heart patients in view of extremely cold weather conditions prevailing.
He asked officials of major cities including Kanpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ayodhya and other districts to increase the number of beds if needed and fix stock of medicines used in the treatment of heart ailments.
Pathak was heading a meeting with officials, where he said emergency services should be functional for 24 hours and tests like pathology, ECG and echo should be done for all the needy patients.

The deputy CM said, "Outpatients' services should be run to their fullest capacity and no patients should return without treatment."
