No new Covid cases in Ludhiana, testing increased

LUDHIANA: For the third consecutive day, Ludhiana on Sunday reported no cases or related deaths of Covid-19. There were two active cases in the district on the day.
With this, the total number of Covid cases in the district remained at 1,13,633. Besides, the total number of deaths is 3,018.
Local health department officials informed that 989 samples were taken on the day, taking the total number of Covid tests conducted in the district to 40,52,042.
Meanwhile, health department officials advised people to follow all Covid-related norms in view of the threat of variants that has triggered surge in cases in China and other countries. tnn
