DoE puts on hold all remedial classes
Delhi government on Sunday asked all schools to remain shut till January 15 on account of severe cold in the capital. Earlier, the DoE had sent a circular to schools stating that the winter break should be ideally held between January 1 and 15 and should ensure 220 days of working.
Many of the private schools had declared winter break as early as December 23. So many schools reopened in the first week of this month itself. We have suggested schools to run online classes for this week.” Late Sunday evening, the DoE issued a circular on remedial classes too. “Keeping in view the prevailing conditions of extreme cold wave, all heads of government schools of DoE are directed to suspend the remedial classes with immediate effect. However, conduct of work of practical examination/ project assessment/ internal assessment for classes X and XII for sessions 2023-24 will continue as per schedule as provided CBSE," said the circular.
