Land row: 4 held for firing at opponent in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: The Indira Nagar police on Sunday arrested four miscreants who had opened fire incessantly on a dispute over ownership of a plot and had thrashed their opponents on January 5.
The miscreants, identified as Deen Dayal and Raghavendra Yadav, both of Indira Nagar and Chandra Prakash of Gudamba and Chadra Pal Bhaskar of Bakshi-ka-Talab, were arrested on Sunday. DCP, north, Qasim Abidi said the accused were arrested under different IPC sections, including rioting while armed with weapons.
They were also booked under the 7 Criminal Law Amendment Act.
"One Abhijeet Vishen of Indira Nagar had lodged a complaint alleging that the attackers had opened fire incessantly to kill him, damaged the property and had looted Rs 1 lakh," said Abidi.
