16 books to be released at KLIBF
Thiruvananthapuram: The first Kerala Legislature International Book Festival (KLIBF) will be the venue for the release of a wide variety of books along with publisher partnerships and book exhibitions. On the first day of the book festival, 16 books written by prominent people in the fields of politics, art, culture and literature will be released.
S Ramachandran Pillai will release the book 'Parajayapetta Kambola Daivam' written by minister MB Rajesh by presenting it to journalist MG Radhakrishnan. Government chief whip N Jayaraj's book 'Samajikan Sakshi' will be released by speaker AN Shamseer. Dr S Krishnan's 'Manoragavum Pouravakashangalum' and Gopinath Muthukad's 'Magical Mist of Memories' will also be released.
Uma Maheshwari's book 'Mathilakam Rekhagal' will be released by Aswathi Thirunal Gowri Lakshmi Bayi. 'Kadalile Mashum Karayile Teacherum' authored by TN Prathapan will be released by the speaker and received by leader of the opposition VD Satheesan. The book 'MTM Ahammed Kurikkal' edited by VC Aboobacker will be released by PK Kunhalikutty MLA. MO Raghunath edited book 'Deshanthara Malayala Kadhakal’ will be released by AN Shamseer and received by writer Benyamin.
Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the international book festival on Monday and the book festival will be on till January 15. It will be open for the public from 9 am to 9 pm.
