Jaisalmer: A newborn girl was found wrapped in a cloth under the bushes near the railway station in Balotra in Barmer district on Sunday.
Four friends while going on morning walk heard a crying baby and then they took the baby to Nahata Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
On getting information, Balotra police reached the spot. According to the information on Sunday morning, Mukesh Kumar, while passing near the railway station, found the baby.
Dr Kamal Mundra said that when the baby was brought to the hospital, she was severely impacted due to cold and her weight was 2.7 kg
Nahata hospital PMO Dr Bhawani Shankar said that after the necessary action the baby was shifted to Barmer district hospital. Police have started the investigation and are trying to find out her parents.
Balotra ASI Lunaram said deliveries done near the hospital would be checked.
CCTV will be checked. In addition, people around are being inquired.
