Duo kills woman, dumps body in Thane; held

THANE: Two men were arrested on Saturday evening from Bhiwandi for allegedly killing a 22-year-old woman and dumping her body in a Kasara forest in Thane district.
Of the two, the main accused has been identified as Rizwan. He was in a live-in-relationship with the victim for the last one year. The police said the incident came to light when they found a woman’s body with multiple stab injuries. Kasara police said they found the mobile phone of deceased at the spot and checked CCTVs from different places on the Mumbai-Nashik highway. The CCTV footage showed a woman on a motorcycle with two men. The police later unlocked the phone and ascertained her identity. She was a resident of Avchitpada area in Bhiwandi. The Kasara cops along with Bhiwandi police led a trap and arrested the duo from their houses.
