BHU prof gets Young Scientist Award by NASI
Varanasi: Amiya Kumar Samal, assistant professor of the department of Geology, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University has been conferred with the Young Scientist Award for 2022 by National Academy of Sciences India (NASI). The award carries a citation, a medal and cash prize. Samal was chosen for his contributions in the field of igneous petrology and geochemistry in general and mafic dyke swarms of Indian shield in particular. Meanwhile, Rajeev Pratap Singh, assistant professor at the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development, BHU has been conferred with Professor Archana Sharma Memorial Award 2020-2023 for his research work in an area of Natural Resource Management and Waste Management.
DDU Hospital located in Pandeypur has been awarded with 'Eco Friendly Award'. The hospital has been awarded first place for getting maximum marks in the state. Principal secretary, department of MHWF, Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma, while sending the letter of 'Eco Friendly Award' to the chief medical superintendent of DDU Hospital, Dr. RK Singh, congratulated for this achievement. tnn
