Father kills siblings, hangs himself in Goa's Candolim

PANAJI: In a shocking incident, two minor children were found dead at their house in Candolim on Saturday night.
The father, who was missing and is suspected to have killed the children, was found hanging on a tree behind the house on Sunday, north Goa SP Nidhin Valsan said.
Police said that the incident may have occurred between 3 pm to 5 pm on Saturday.
"When the mother, who takes tuition, returned home at about 5 pm knocked at the door but nobody opened it. She waited for almost five hours outside the house. When the neighbours noticed her waiting outside, they tried calling the husband, who disconnected the call," police said.
Later, at around 10.30pm, the neighbours opened the back door and entered the house and found the two children, a 15-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy lying on the bed. Immediately, they informed the police and later it was confined that they were found dead.
The father, who was missing since Saturday evening, was found hanging on a tree behind the house on Sunday morning.
