Pope Francis exhorted parents of baptized babies to ensure their children must remain in the path they were ushered into through baptism.

Pope Francis also thanked the parents for bringing children to the Catholic Church.

According to a report by AFP, Pope Francis starts a historic trip to war-battered Iraq on March 5, defying security fears and the pandemic to comfort one of the world's oldest and most persecuted Christian communities. The 84-year-old, who said he would make the first-ever papal visit to Iraq as a "pilgrim of peace," will also reach out to Shiite Muslims when he meets Iraq's top cleric, Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani. The four-day journey is the pope's first abroad since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, which left the leader of the world's 1.3 billion Catholics saying he felt "caged" inside the Vatican.



Pope Francis also told parents to teach their children about the significance of prayer. He said prayer gives strength throughout the life. It also helps thank God in good times and find strength in bad times.

Pope also exhorted parents to teach their children to pray to "Our Lady, our Mother". He said that the most important thing is that the children must learn to be Christians.
