MANGALURU: After the photos of a terror suspect's father with Congress leaders went viral on Friday, deputy leader of opposition in assembly UT Khader accused the BJP of playing "photo politics".
"Instead of eliminating terrorism from the roots, the BJP is engaged in photo politics. People will understand, and give the BJP a fitting reply to their 'photo politics'," Khader tweeted.
In a series of tweets from his handle @utkhader, Khader also denied any connection with the father of accused Reshaan Thajuddin Sheikh, who was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), in connection with the Shivamogga IS conspiracy case.
Tagging @BJIndia and @CMofKarnataka, Khader wrote "Satyameva Jayate".
Khader alleged that the BJP leaders are trying to defame the Congress, using the photos of Reshaan's father. "There is no connection between him (Reshaan's father) and us. Let the NIA, which is under the BJP government, conduct an unbiased probe and take stern action if there is anything wrong," the Congress MLA wrote.
Khader also questioned the BJP's silence over photos of 'Santro Ravi', an accused in various criminal cases, with BJP leaders and their family members.
