JAIPUR: Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP), the only recognised state party in
Rajasthan, has declared an amount of Rs 3 lakh in its contribution report for 2021-22. The report was uploaded on the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) website.
The party declared that it had received Rs 3 lakh from two different entities, Ashok Kumar Jat and Shree Dariyav Mines and Mineral, through cheques - Rs 50,000 and Rs 2.5 lakh respectively - in 2021-22. However, RLP hasn’t submitted its audit report for the year 2021-22 yet.
The party was founded by Hanuman Beniwal, who is a Lok Sabha MP from Nagaur constituency, on the
eve of 2018 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly election.
As per rule 85B of the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961, Form of contributions report — the report for a financial year under sub-section (1) of section 29C shall be submitted in form 24A by the treasurer of a political party or any other person authorised by the political party in this behalf, before the due date for furnishing a return of its income of that financial year under section 139 of the Income- tax Act, 1961 (43 of 1961), to the ECI.
