BENGALURU: A class eight boy studying in an international school in east Bengaluru sent the hoax bomb email to National Academy for Learning, Basaveshwaranagar, on Thursday night, investigation revealed.
The boy, who lives with his mother and grandparents near Hebbal, told police he did it for fun and never thought of the legal consequences. His mother, a divorcee, is a private company employee. He used his mother's iPad to send the email.
The boy said some of his friends were studying in NAFL. "He kept saying he did it for fun and never intended to target anyone," an officer said. "I have four sticks of dynamite and I will blow them up tomorrow afternoon during lunch-your favorite student," read the two-line email from rockamlmao@gmail.com to NAFL.
Police will file a charge-sheet in the case and submit it to the juvenile board, which will summon the boy and his family.
