Hawker held for murder in Kolkata

KOLKATA: Police have slapped a murder case against a 42-year-old hawker - Sunil Singh Chowhan - for allegedly assaulting a rickshaw puller - Baidya Nath Ganguly (42) - after a drunken brawl and killing him in the process.
"The two of them were good friends and there was no enmity between them.
On January 2 night, they consumed alcohol and began arguing over a minor incident.
The accused then suddenly began assaulting the victim repeatedly and stopped only after he lost consciousness," said an officer from Netaji Nagar Police.
