FM to distribute 1.58k cr loan to 3.4k people in Kota
Kota: Union minister of finance and corporate affairs Nirmala Sitharaman is scheduled to reach Kota on one-day visit on Sunday where she will participate in Credit Outreach Program, to be organized at Dusshera Ground. Finance minister, along with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is set to distribute loans to street vendors, small scale entrepreneurs and cattle rearers under Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana and Mudra Yojana.
“On the initiative by Speaker Om Birla, who is also MP from Kota-Bundi, the street venders, dairy booth proprietors, refreshment kiosk holders on the roadside were given opportunity for expansion of their business,” states a press release from Birla’s camp office here.
Likewise, entrepreneurs dealing with manufacturing, food processing and public services would also be provided a chance to enhance their economic and financial strength, the release added. Along with it, cattle rearers (pashu palak) have also been ensured loan up to Rs 1.60 lakh through Pashupalak Kisan Credit Card for expansion of their work, it said.
“Loans worth Rs 1,580 crore are set to be distributed/sanctioned to around 3,400 customers in Credit Outreach Program to be organized in Dusshera Ground on Sunday,” stated a press release by M V Rao, director and chief executive officer of Central Bank of India, Mumbai.
Finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will be the chief guests in the event, he added. Sitaraman will reach by Duronto Express on Sunday morning.
At 10am on Sunday, she is scheduled to hold interaction with coaching students in Allen Career Institute’s auditorium in Jawahar Nagar area.
She will participate in the loan distribution programme at Dusshara Ground at 11am.She will return to Delhi by New Delhi Express from Sogaria railway station at 4.30pm the same day.
