Jaipur: A team of Nagaur police have arrested two persons, including one Deepti Yadav of the notorious Deepti Gang of Haryana for the alleged planning of killing gangster Sandeep Sethi, who was gunned down outside a court in Nagaur last September. Police brought the two accused through a production warrant from Tihar jail in Delhi.
Police so far have arrested seven persons in this connection and have detained a juvenile allegedly involved in planning and execution of the murder. Nagaur police claimed that they are in no mood to spare even a single person involved in the planning and execution of murder.
According to police, a team of Nagaur police had gone to Nepal to nab the two fugitives including Deepti Yadav (32) and Anoop Dava(26) and had gone closer to arrest them, almost a fortnight ago . However, due to lack of some paperwork the Nagaur police could not get their custody and they were given to Delhi police for a pending case against them in Delhi.
“We had applied for their production warrant. Hence, both Deepti Yadav and Anoop Dava have been arrested in the case of murder of Sandeep Sethi who was gunned down outside the court in Nagaur in September, 2022,” said Ram Murty Joshi, superintendent of police, Nagaur while talking to TOI.
Police added that Anoop Dava is one of the shooters involved in killing Sandeep Sethi and Deepti Yadav is a gangster who is involved in planning of murder, hiring shooters and later giving an escape route to the fleeing shooters. “It is yet to be investigated as if he too was among the shooters who finally eliminated Sandeep,” he added.
Prior to this, police had arrested the accused identified as Sunil alias Pandit, Sandeep alias Golu, Jeetendra alias Jeetu, Naveen alias Seth and Praveen alias Pappal and one juvenile was detained in this connection.
Joshi added that almost everyone involved in the planning and murder has been arrested in this case. “We will interrogate them to know if any more persons were involved, especially in harbouring the criminals after the murder,” he added.
