PATNA: The railways has cancelled four passenger trains and diverted the route of several others due to the non-interlocking (NI) work to be carried out at Khatipura station under the Jaipur division of the North Western Railway from January 8 to 20. It will also carry out station re-modelling work at Khatipura during this period.
According to the ECR's chief public relations officer (CPRO) Birendra Kumar, the Bikaner-Kolkata Pratap Express (12495/12496) has been cancelled from January 19 to 20.
"The Kishanganj-Ajmer Garib Nawaz Express (15715/15716) will not run from January 6 to 19," he said.
While the Ajmer-Sealdah (12988) will be diverted to Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur-Bharatpur Junction route on January 20, the Porbandar-Muzaffarpur (19269) will run via Phulera Junction-Rewari route on January 19.
"The Ajmer-Sealdah (12988) will run with a controlled speed from January 21 to 25 and the Ajmer-Kishanganj (15716) will be delayed by 45 minutes on January 23 and 24," the CPRO said, adding that the Porbandar-Muzaffarpur (19269) will be delayed by 20 minutes on January 20.
Meanwhile, the railways has attached two additional general coaches to the Rajendra Nagar Terminal-Saharsa Intercity (13227/13228) from January 9 onwards. "The load composition of the train will be of 20 coaches which include chair car (9), AC chair car (1), general bogies (8) and brake vans (2)," Kumar said.
