Rishabh Pant undergoes successful knee surgery for a ligament tear

NEW DELHI: India's star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has successfully undergone knee surgery at a Mumbai hospital for the ligament injury he suffered a high-speed car accident on December 30.
Pant survived the horrific crash with multiple injuries and was air-lifted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute from Dehradun's Max Hospital earlier this week.
"Rishabh Pant has successfully undergone a knee ligament surgery on Friday. He will be under observation. Further course of action and rehabilitation will be advised by Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala and followed by the BCCI sports science and medicine team," a BCCI source told PTI.

Pant, who has played 33 Tests, 30 ODIs, and 66 T20Is for India so far, was driving from Delhi to Roorkee to surprise his family members in the early hours on December 30.
