NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged chief secretaries of states to put thrust on human development, skill development, circular economy and local economy while framing schemes and policies.
He said quality should be the mainstay in any decision and states must work towards addressing the issue of malnutrition and help small entrepreneurs to grow.
He was addressing the second National Conference of Chief Secretaries in Delhi.
PM Modi also urged states to put their best efforts to achieve the goal of India as developed nation by 2047.
The three-day conference that concluded on Saturday focused on achieving rapid and sustained economic growth in partnership with the states. More than 200 bureaucrats comprising representatives of the central government, chief secretaries and other senior officials of all States/Union Territories and domain experts participated in the conference.
