Air India Live News Updates: Accused S Mishra, who allegedly urinated on a woman on Air India flight, has been arrested from Bengaluru, said Delhi Police.
Delhi Police said that Mishra was arrested last night and has already been brought to Delhi. He will be presented before the court today.
Mishra is the vice president of the India Chapter of an American multinational financial services company headquartered in California.
Earlier, Delhi Police summoned Air India staff in connection with an incident in which a man allegedly urinated on a co-passenger onboard a flight from New York to Delhi, PTI sources said.
The Air India staff, including the pilot and co-pilot, were issued summons for Friday, but they didn't appear. Now, they have been summoned to the office of deputy commissioner of police (airport) at 10:30 am on January 7, the sources said on Friday.
Police on Wednesday registered an FIR and formed several teams to nab the accused passenger.
The accused, Shankar Mishra, had urinated on his co-passenger, a senior citizen in her 70s, allegedly in an inebriated condition in the business class of the Air India flight on November 26 last year.
Delhi Police said that Mishra was arrested last night and has already been brought to Delhi. He will be presented before the court today.

As many as 160 Chinese toymakers have approached the Bureau of Indian Standards for the BIS certification mark ISI in the past two years, however none of them has been granted the BIS licence, a top official said. "No Chinese toy manufacturer has been granted a BIS licence till date," said BIS Director General Pramod Kumar Tiwari addressing a press conference. The event was organised on Friday evening on the occasion of 76th Foundation Day of the BIS.
