AHMEDABAD: Naroda police arrested two men - Kuldeep Parmar and Rupesh Rathod - for their alleged involvement in two robberies in the area.
Naroda police inspector S J Bhatiya on Friday said during surveillance they got intelligence that two persons had carried out a robbery in the area and were moving about on a two-wheeler. Police kept watch and in accordance with the intelligence, the two were found and detained near Naroda Patia.
Police said they first they denied involvement but later confessed to having carried out the robbery. A complaint was filed Tuesday by one Vishnu Thakore. Thakore said that he was made to get out of his car by two men and Rs 15,000 cash that he was carrying was taken by them.
However, during the investigation the two revealed that they had carried out a similar robbery on December 8. A compliant was registered at Naroda police station by Dharmendrasinh Jhala (32), a resident of Odhav, which states that when he was near Naroda Patia when he was stopped by two men, who started fighting with him. The two men took Rs 33,390 from his bag and Rs 4,700 from his pocket. Parmar and Rathod were booked in this case as well.
